8 Gallon Onion-Head Copper Pot Still

The onion-head profile is one of the oldest shapes in copper distilling, and this 8 gallon pot still carries that tradition forward. The bulbous cap gives vapor extra room to expand and reflux gently before it travels through the swan neck, which helps round off harsh notes and rewards patient hobby distillers chasing a smooth, flavorful spirit.

Every surface that touches your wash or vapor is solid copper, drawn to at least 1.0 mm thick so it holds its shape run after run. Copper actively scrubs sulfur compounds out of the vapor stream, a job stainless simply cannot do, which is why generations of whiskey, rum and brandy makers have insisted on it. Joints are sealed with lead-free tin-silver solder, so there is no lead and no brass anywhere in the vapor path.
