20 oz 22-Gauge Copper Sheet, 36" x 96"
For the distiller who would rather build than buy, this is the raw material to start from. It's a 20 oz, 22-gauge copper sheet measuring a full 36 by 96 inches, the very same stock used to fabricate our stills, so you know it's the right weight and temper for forming boilers, caps and column sections.
Copper remains the metal of choice for still building because it forms readily under hand tools, takes solder cleanly and, once in service, actively pulls sulfur compounds from the vapor for a smoother spirit. This 22-gauge weight is heavy enough to stand up to repeated heat cycles yet still workable for cutting, rolling and seaming.
Each sheet is brand new and ships rolled to fit an 18" x 18" x 36" box; minor surface blemishes from packing are normal and don't affect the metal. Note that listed shipping covers the 48 continental states, contact us for a quote elsewhere. Perfect for a first scratch build or for repairs to an existing rig.
